The Detroit Pistons play in the Palace of Auburn Hills which is a sports venue located in Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan . Earlier, the team played in the Pontiac Silverdome, a venue constructed for football which was mainly built for football games. The Pistons home arena was first opened in 1988 and has a seating capacity of 22,076 fans for basketball. The suburban location has made it a hot venue for hosting large rock concerts and major boxing matches. The Palace has 180 private suites at three separate levels.  All suites are outfitted with a private entrance corridor, private restrooms, wet bar, telephone, refrigerator, and color television.
